Well the snow finally moved out of southeast Virginia, but the snow is not gone. Both eagles returned to their nest early this morning, about 6:35. The photo above of the female at 6:55 shows her appearing to say “What is this stuff??” The sun is bright but temperature not to rise out of the 20’s today. Hopefully full sun on the nest will melt some of the 6 inches of snow in the pocket of the nest. Second photo is of female at 9:35 after a return visit to her nest.
