This morning, Dec 26, we are having a snow storm in our region – for us anything over an inch is a storm – and at my house in Virginia Beach we are up to about 5 inches. The adult eagles at Norfolk Botanical Garden seem to be taking the storm in stride, but it has brought a temporary halt to nest building. They are sitting in the 2008 camera tree, which is about 100 yards from the current camera tree. I first spotted them there about 8:00am and as I write this at 10:00 they have not moved.

It’s hard to work in the snow!
Here’s a link to the cam at the Carolina Raptor Center-another ‘nest in progress’.
