Azalea has become more active and has visited or flown over new areas around NBG. She has ventured over Lake Whitehurst where it meets Shore Drive and appears to have sat in the trees in yards on Heutte Drive near Shore Drive. One flight took her across Shore Drive and over the edge of the Naval Amphibious Base. She has also flown across the airport runway several times to the area behind Airport Industrial Park sitting in the trees near Bayside Road. Her brother, HK, and her sister, HE, seem to have left the area. HK has not been seen since July 20 and HE since July 27.

I have seen Azalea near the nest for the last two days. Have the parents stopped bringing food to the nest? I wonder if she is hungry and if she is able to hunt for her own food.
One of the adults brought a fish to the nest about 10:30 today, but Azalea accidently knocked it off the nest and it fell to the ground. No one has reported seeing Azalea catch her own food, so don’t know if she has done so as of yet.
