Research Background
Laura started working as a technician with CCB in 2014 studying distribution and habitat use of wintering saltmarsh sparrows. Since then she has assisted on some of CCB’s long-term projects monitoring Bald Eagles and Red-cockaded woodpeckers. Laura was hired as a Research Biologist in 2018 to continue working in the field (her first love) as well as providing logistical support to many of the other projects. She is passionate about recruiting citizen scientist into research when possible, and will be working towards enriching programs such as the long-running U.S. Nightjar Network.
