Grace has flown back to Dare County, NC and the Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge. As of this map she is west of Mann’s Harbor and south of NC Route 64 in the area of Mill Tail Creek and Boat Bay – WHITE arrow Jan 28 at 9:00am.
I was so sure you were going back for more catfish “big girl”..Azalea would visit here also as I recall..Thank you Reese…. Cam give us a ping…missing you..
I suspect we have lost or are about to lose Cam’s transmitter. 2011 little sis, NX, is still transmitting, but her’s are getting fewer and farther between, too. Sad, but we knew there was an expiration date on the transmitters eventually. If HK and Sterling will get around to making bobbleheads, we will get to see Mom Norfolk’s Legacy live on. Reese, do you have any thoughts on the behavior of those two and if they seem adequately bonded for parenting? Might make a good Blog post.
Response – Re: Camellia – We have just about given up hope that Camellia’s transmitter will send us signals again. Look for a blog post within the next few days.
Re: HK and Sterling. They are being observed closely by several photographers who are seeing them bringing materials to their nest and mating. Have our fingers crossed that this is the breeding season for them.

Thanks for the update, Reese. I am glad to see Grace seems to be doing well. Looks like she’s turning in to a Carolina girl.
