Grace never knew Azalea the bald eagle from Norfolk Botanical Garden, but Grace is flying almost the same flight pattern lately. About 11am on Dec 15 Grace left Tyrrell County, NC (PINK pointer) and flew directly to Washington County and the North Carolina Tidewater Research Station and private catfish farm at Plymouth, NC (BLUE pointer). She spent the night in one of the known overnight roost areas identified when Azalea visited here. At the time of Azalea’s visits there were about 35 to 40 other bald eagles here on a daily basis. As of this satellite map Grace appears to be on the edge of one of the catfish ponds – WHITE arrow Dec 16 at 7:00am. Click on maps to enlarge.
