When we last saw Camellia he was in the Camellia Garden at NBG at 7:00pm Nov 21 (YELLOW arrow). He stayed in that spot for the night about 100 yards from the NBG Admin building. The morning of Nov 22 he flew to the Elizabeth River and at 1:00am Nov 23 (GREEN pointer)was in the Woodstock neighborhood in Virginia Beach. Next morning he flew to Stumpy Lake and was there at 1:00am Nov 24 (PURPLE pointer). During the day Nov 24 he wandered east over to the West Neck Creek Natural Area and as of this satellite map at 7:00pm Nov 24 appears to be in flight near Salem and North Landing Roads (WHITE arrow), perhaps on his way back to Stumpy Lake. Have to wait for next map to find out.

He wanted to see the new lights this year- esp the dancing tree show.
Thanks reese
Wish my eyes and field glasses were better quality. Did we see Camellia? We were on the canoe dock at Stumpy Lake this evening. About 4:30 two eagles flew into a tree across the lake. Later a third tried to join them but was waved off and flew into a tree further down the shore south. Of the original two the one facing us had yellow feet, a light but not entirely white head, and a light mottled breast. The one with its back toward us was darker with a dirty head. The third one was a dark juvenile. As we walked to the car after sunset, a dark juvenile flew over us.
Reese, thank you so much for your updates.

About 15 minutes later a third mostly dark eagle tried to land in the same tree but was waved off and flew into a tree down the shoreline. As we walked to the car a dark juvenile flew over us.
Happy Thanksgiving Reese to you and your family. You are truly unique because I can’t think of many people who would take the time to up-date viewers on a holiday weekend. Just saying….
