The male arrived first at 7:00am and the female a minute later. The male only stayed a few minutes and left without returning. No nest building this morning. The female sat in the nest for another hour as the sun rose brightly on her. Here are a few photos from the eagle cam of the new female.
Great pictures. Thank you so much for
keeping us updated on the new duo.
They look fantastic together, and she
is one beautiful eagle. Handsome pair they make.
Thank you so much for the beautiful photos of our new “MAMA EAGLE”. She is beautiful, and I am sure they will be happy together. You have done so much for us, the public admiration society. Can’t wait until they have their family so we can watch them grow.
So excited for the season to begin and for the cam to be turned on… Thanks Reese for keeping us updated with more pictures of them both. Learning to recognize Dad’s new lady love. She is as beauty!!!! But we know he has good taste already! She is a winner.
Thank you so much for sharing. I agree with the others she is one beautiful lady. She also looks as though she will have the ability to give Dad the evil eye. LOL
A comment on the WCV blog stated that there were unusual things going on at the nest this morning. Not trying to be negative, but is it odd that Dad didn’t stay or come back to the nest. Has he been sighted since this morning? The others are correct – she is a beauty!
Response – Every day the nest action is different. Nothing to worry about.
Wow – she’s really a beaut..wears her white feathers like jewelry on her black chest. And her head is fluffy enough it should be easy to tell her from Dad. They look like a great pair. Thanks for posting, Reese.
Reese, You must have been up early this morning,,,It is my youngest Grandsons Birthday. Your pictures are wonderful. Handsome male, and beautiful female,,,how could anyone ask for more,,,except for many little eaglets. It is so kind of you to share these pictures with all of us who are waiting for the new cam to start. I only pray that Dad tells her about the “BIG” birds that fly, so to watch out for them. I am getting worried about NX phoning home, the last call back that we got was October 11th….she must be real busy! THANK YOU VERY MUCH, AGAIN REESE.
I am so thrilled to see these photos. We were visiting NBG on 10/1 and had a glimpse of the new female. This gives hope that this winter/spring we will see new eaglets… Thank you so m,uch for sharing Reese…
Oh, I do like the looks of this lady. I think the word “Regal” was created just for her. I’m satisfied that she is in Dad’s life for a long long time to come. She’s not Lady Legacy but she sure is Lady Regal.
Thanks Reese for these beautiful caps. I am so glad Dad has a mate to carry on his wonderful life with. It’s still very hard for me not to cry tho …as our Mom is still so special. I will eventually move on – just need to grieve for Mom a little longer ♥♥ I will be right here tho to enjoy the new Lady Dad has chosen to give us more beautiful fluff balls to love and adore. Dad …hope you and your new Lady have many wonderful years together.
Mr. Lukei hearing you speak, and getting the opportunity to meet you at the dedication was a highlight of my weekend. Learning from you that there is a potential to see eagles here in Montreal was remarkable as well! Thank you so much for posting these pictures of the beautiful couple, and for all the work you do, to bring us updates on Azalea and Camila.
Response – Carrie – A pleasure meeting you during the Dedication at NBG. I have your framed poem “Fallen Feather” in my office. Thank you.
Reese, thanks for these beautiful shots of the new lady of the garden. She is a beauty. Dad sure knows how to pick em!!!! I hope they are together a long long time and produce many eaglets for us to watch grow!!!
I already love her!! She must be “Our Mom’s” younger sister or something equal to that. Thanks for sharing and of course enjoying this with us. She is just beautiful.
We never left you Proud Dad, nor NBG, we are so happy to see that you have come back home , and I truly speak on behalf of the Eagle Nation, that we can’t wait to see your family..
She really is a beauty and very regal. Now we will have to wait and see if she has Lady Legacy’s nuturing capabilities and will be able to keep Dad in line. Very hard to imagine that the Regal Lady will be able to live up to Mom’s standards.
I am thrilled by these photos. Thank you so much for posting them. Dad Norfolk has been through a lot these past months (so have you, Reese) and now it looks like he is content with a new life that he has created with this beauty. She has such a warm and caring look about her. Just lovely and Dad is so regal.
