This morning, Dec 16, an adult Cooper’s Hawk (male, I believe) sat out on the end of the “love branch” in the 2010 eagle nest tree at NBG during our snow event. For about 30 minutes he sat with his head on a swivel looking for a meal. He was all fluffed up staying warm and so well insulated that snow would build up in his head which every few minutes he would shake off.
