Camellia Sighted on Lake Anna 9/19September 20, 2010
Camellia Leaves Lake AnnaSeptember 24, 2010
Azalea left the North Carolina Tidewater Research Station at Plymouth, NC about 11:00am on Sept 16 flying north across Chowan County and Gates County and back into Suffolk, Virginia about noon. She continued north along the west side of the Great Dismal Swamp NWR reaching the Chuckatuck Creek and Crittenden area of Suffolk about 1:00pm. That is where she has stayed until the time of this map at 7:00am Sept 18. She was just north of Chuckatuck and the intersection of Route 125 and Routes 32/10. This is Butler Lake which is part of the Lone Star Lakes Recreation Area in northern Suffolk – www.suffolk.va.us/parks/ls.html.

Azalea has good taste. Lone Star Lakes is a good place for her to be. Lots of water and beautful trees. I have spent lots of time there. Glad to see her back in home state. Can’t wait for next update.
Thank you Reese.
I wonder if she will drop by or fly by NBG and let us get a glimpse of her.
Correction, she flew across Chowan and Gates Counties into Suffolk. Camden County is due East of Gates County, Chowan is due South.
Absolutely Right! – Made the change. Thanks – Reese
