With over 1,200 people watching on the WVEC eagle cam, the female bald eagle at Norfolk Botanical Garden layed her second egg of the season at 11:50am Feb 3, 2010. The male was standing on the front edge of the nest right beside his mate. In addition to the eagle cam audience, WVEC news reporter Joe Flanagan and cameraman Brian Smith, were there across from the nest and got to witness the event.

This is just absolutely wonderful, Reese. I pray that mom and dad will be blessed with a beautiful, healthy family. They are just wonderful parents to the “kids” and just wonderful to each other. I feel so blessed to be a small part of their lives. Thanks , too, for trying to help us answers all those questions for the newcomers. I do enjoy your blogs on mom and dad , but especially like the ones on AZ. Hope she stays with me in NC.
Thank you so much for all you do . Dixie
Reese – thanks for this good news. I love this blog because no matter what I do, I can’t seem to get the camera working this year. So I look forward to seeing a few photos and getting the daily update. These eagles have got it together, and so do you!
