our ms.diva does not like to stay in one spot to long.I thought she had find a winter spot ,but guess not.I believe she still has some time before she is looking for a nest.she is not even a year old.Her folks do not waste any time,do they.God bless.
If she is headed to Mattamuskeet, she is smart. She will be able to feast on the wintering waterfowl there. She will probably meet some friends too. Lake Mattamuskeet is where the NC Wildlife Resources Commision released the first reintroduced eagles from hacking towers beginning in 1983: http://www.ncwildlife.org/Wildlife_Species_Con/documents/nongame_baldeagle_lores.pdf
Maybe she will head west toward the Triangle so that maybe I can catch a glimpse of her at Jordan Lake or Falls Lake.
