Azalea left the NC Tidewater Research Station and catfish farm on July 4th – and returned on July 10th. The power of catfish just too strong to stay away for long. After spending a few days in Virginia Beach at Camp Pendleton and Red Wing Golf Course, Azalea left Red Wing about 11:00am July 9 and flew to Hertford, NC and spent the night, then flew back to TRS, arriving about noon on July 10. Still there as of this satellite map at 10:00am today July 11 – white arrow. Click maps to enlarge.

Thanks, Reese. It’s always interesting to follow Azalea’s and Camellia’s travels. I’ll be curious if they keep to the same patterns when fall and winter comes.
Great, always interesting to see where these ‘babies’ go….have they ever gone toward the upper James River where the plantation is?
Diane – Neither Azalea nor Camellia have visited that area of the James River. Both have been on the lower James near Jamestown.
Azalea seems to be a creature of habit. A constant food supply is just too big a lure for her 🙂
