After spending a night in a place with which she is very familiar – Stumpy Lake (YELLOW arrow Dec 3 at 6:00pm and PINK pointer Dec 4 at 1:00am) – Azalea has moved a little bit westward. At 1:00am Dec 5 (GREEN pointer) she was in the Gilmerton area of Chesapeake, then moved into Portsmouth and the Western Branch of the Elizabeth River (PURPLE pointer Dec 6 at 1:00am) and remains there as of this satellite map Dec 7 at 1:00am (this morning) – WHITE arrow.

Mr. Lukei I really enjoy learning about the eagles and I have been wondering, Azalea and Camellia seem to frequent familiar spots, are there any circumstances that would cause an eagle to deviate from a familiar pattern? Thank you so much for all that you do!
Response – While both Azalea and Camellia have visited some locations several times, there is no pattern or routine to their travels.
