On October 3, 2014 Grace flew to Maryland for the first. On October 9, 2015 she returned to Maryland crossing the mouth of the Potomac River into St. Mary’s County about 10:00am, then continued north crossing Chesapeake Bay about Noon into Dorchester County at 1:00pm (PURPLE pointer) and spent the night there. On Oct 10 she flew further north and as of this satellite map Grace is on Tilghman Island in Talbot County, MD – Oct 10 at 3:00pm (WHITE arrow). Her flight distance was about 140 miles. caught a strong wind “big girl” ..better fishing or an eagle gathering ? stay safe..check in often..don’t forget about NC catfish..stinker…..Thank you Reese..I don’t think she has been in this area before or flown this far north has she?
Pat – Yes, Grace was even further north last October. We’ll see in next report if she continues on northward. There are two bald eagle roosts on Tilghman Island which is probably why she is there.
Very exciting that she came north! I wonder if she is still here or near Sherwood or further north at Kent Island! This is quite far from me but I wouldn’t mind going back since it’s now familiar. Perhaps soon she will revisit Charles County Landfill. Reese, thanks!!
