Grace remains at the North Carolina Tidewater Research Station at Plymouth, NC. She is likely in the company of several other bald eagles. This map is as of Dec 19 at 8:00pm – WHITE arrow.
On December 13 just before Grace left Alligator River NWR in Dare County, Mr. Jimmy Williams of Lake Gaston, NC got these photos of Grace along Sawyer Lake Road. These are the first photos of Grace since she left her natal nest area in Virginia Beach on July 22, 2014. Many thanks to Mr. Williams for giving permission to share his photos with you.

Hey Jimmy Williams! Thanks so much for sharing your pics of Grace with us! She looks lovely, – some really great shots! I did manage to see Grace on Nov 1st at the Charles County Landfill near Waldorf Md, but my photos were pretty bad! Keep an eye on her for us, whenever possible!! She may likely get back to Alligator River, as she seemed to hang out there for some time!
Reese, it’s a wonderful world, whenever we can see these young eagles; catch a glimpse into their lives. I am studying the maps for the catfish farm. Thanks for the detail on the 16th and 17th! Again, thanks for all you guys do!

Thanks so much Reese for posting these pics and thanks all for the compliments. I am glad I had the opportunity to spot her. I am hoping to go back down soon, hopefully I will get lucky and cross paths with her again. This is an awesome program you guys have here, and I look forward to following the progress of the birds. Thanks again…hope everyone is having a great Christmas!
