Red knots receive Endangered Species Act listing – Virginia to play critical role
December 10, 2014Grace has been in Dare county, NC since Nov 28. She is visiting Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge – http://www.fws.gov/alligatorriver/. As of this satellite map Grace is at Sawyer Lake – WHITE arrow Dec 7 at 9:00pm. Bald eagle Azalea visited here Jan 3-6, 2010. Azalea was well known for traveling to the Alligator River NWR as well as the catfish farm near Plymouth, NC about 50 miles to the west. Click on Maps to enlarge.

Thank you Reese. I am always delighted to hear about Grace. She has taken a spot in my heart just as did Azalea especially when she visited my state of NC. These girls seem to be more adventurous than the male eagles as it seems they travel further. Nita in NC
