There was apparently just enough sunlight yesterday, Jan 2, for Camellia’s satellite transmitter to begin sending data at 2:00pm. At that time he was just northeast of the Oceana Naval Master Jet Base – YELLOW arrow Jan 2 at 2:00pm. From there he flew to Red Wing Golf Course to spend the night – PINK pointer Jan 3 at 1:00am. Camellia then flew due north this morning to the Cavalier Golf Course in the Birdneck neighborhood of Virginia Beach and that is where he is as of this satellite map – WHITE arrow Jan 3 at 2:00pm. Cheers for the sun. Let’s have more!!!!

Fantastic news! You’re still a stinker, I was at the wrong golf course!! Let there be sunshine !!!
Thanks Reese, map withdrawal is a tough disorder.
Excellent!!! Glad to “hear” from him!!
Yea, Camellia. So good to see you – or at least your track. Thank you, Reese.
Yaa! I was so praying that lack of sun shine could be the problem..Don’t want to miss any of Cam’s adventure’s..more sun please…Thank you for the update
Yea! Camelia’s back and reporting in again!! And, sure enough, there he is on golf courses again.
Thanks for sharing the wonderful news Reese! Camellia’s many fans are truly grateful!
All RIGHT! Soo excited to see this!
I live in the Suffolk Meadows neighborhood off of Nansemond Pky and Shoulders Hill rd. in Suffolk. There is an eagle I see frequently flying over my home. I have seen it perched in a tree near my home and twice feeding in the industrial park fields. I can’t really say that all these sightings are the same bird but this eagle is a beautiful sight.
Response – There are several bald eagle nests in Suffolk including one north of Nansemond parkway. Check out the eagle nest locator web site at http://www.ccb-wm.org/virginiaeagles/locator.php
Grinning from ear to ear…Sooooooo happy to hear from our Camellia…:-)
