Camellia has gone back to the country at least for a brief period. He was last at Carolanne Farms on the Elizabeth River near Kempsville – YELLOW arrow Aug 28 at 7:00pm and stayed in that area Aug 29 and until about 2:00pm Aug 30 – PINK pointer Aug 29 at 6:00am, GREEN pointer Aug 30 at 1:00am. He then flew to Stumpy Lake for the night – PURPLE pointer Aug 31 at 1:00am. He left Stumpy Lake about 2:00pm and flew to Pungo and as of this map was at an yet to be developed housing project known as Ashville Park off Princess Anne Rd – WHITE arrow Aug 31 at 7:00pm. Blue lines are previous wanderings of Azalea.

I bird this area frequently as it is near my home. Not surprised Cammie would like it as it is real quiet. A loggerhead shrike was reported there last year. There are a few big houses there now and some very cool Chinese Geese (I think) that some residents maintain in the first pond as you come in from PA Road. Of course, I am in New England at the moment……..Hope Cammie hangs around.
