Camellia has stayed in the same neighborhood for the past three days – Buckner Farm off S. Rosement Rd in Virginia Beach. There are 8 ponds in that neighborhood and the data shows that Camellia has been to six of them. Here are the data points – YELLOW arrow May 26 at 7:00pm, PINK pointer May 27 at 1:00am, GREEN pointer May 28 at 1:00am, PURPLE pointer May 29 at 1:00am, and as of this map WHITE arrow May 30 at 1:00am. Jim Deal, photographer, captured this pose of Camellia on May 28 with his wings spread so that you can see his old and new feathers as he is molting. Photo copyright James Deal. I love the patterns of plummage in Jim Deal’s great pic of Camellia. I also was enjoying looking at your earlier photos of Camellia in flight and that adult eagle popped up and I thought, I better read the whole paragraph. Great way to start the day. Many thanks for sharing to both you, Mr. Lukei and Mr. Deal.
Great shot by Jim! Hope Camellia sticks aruond for a while! Thanks, Reese!
