On the last satellite map Camellia was at Lake Taylor (Yellow arrow Oct 19 1am). From Lake Taylor he flew to Lake Whitehurst off Azalea Garden Rd and on Oct 20 at 1am was near the entrance of NBG (Green pointer). On Oct 20 Camellia flew south to the southern Branch of the Elizabeth River during the day and then returned to Norfolk Botanical Garden to spend the night at NBG in the woods near the main parking lot (Pink pointer). He spent most of Oct 21 off Miller Store Rd which borders the east side of Norfolk Airport but then flew back to NBG and at 1:00am Oct 22 was near Mirror Lake (Purple pointer). As of this satellite map at 10:00am Oct 22 Camellia was back on the east side of the Norfolk Airport in a patch of woods along Miller Store Rd (White Arrow). Click maps to enlarge.

Gosh! I really HATE that he’s crossed over those runways SIX times. Wish Dad Norfolk would come and chase him away!
I looked & looked on the drive home tonight – nothing. He was probably waiting for my car to drive by!!
I don’t understand how Camellia can spend so much time around the garden and not get chased off by daddy Norfolk? Daddy rules the garden!!
Reece– is it because Camellia is still a juvie and daddy knows he’s no threat to the nest?
Response – It is more likely because the male and his new female are away during most of the day.
So cool to follow his travels! Thanks for all info, Reece!
Oops, thanks Reese!
