August 24, 2011Azalea has not gone very far since our last map, just a couple miles north across I-64 to Tide Mill Pond. She stayed in the marshy area near the intersection of I-64 and I-664 all day Aug 19 and 20, and left there about 2:00pm yesterday Aug 21 and flew to Tide Mill Pond. This is located north of Tide Mill Lane and west of LaSalle Ave and where Azalea was located at 8:00pm last night Aug 21 – white arrow.

Any indication of when NX will be released and tracking data will be available.

Response – The release and tracking of NX is entirely up to the Wildlife Center of Virginia and Va DGIF. CCB is not involved with decisions about the release or tracking. The tracking system used by CCB is entirely different than that being used by DGIF.
