Azalea remains at the catfish ponds east of Plymouth, NC in Washington County as of April 30, 2010.
Are visitors allowed at the catfish ponds?
Ilovelucy – The catfish ponds are on private property, so you would need the permission of the owner. The Tidewater Research Station ponds are on North Carolina State property and thru locked gates, so you would have to get their permission also.
Just a note, my viewing is from the millpond road which is a state-maintained dirt road
really great site, thank you
