Thanks Reese—Think AZ found a great winter home
Thanks for the update. It seems as if she has found a safe place to overwinter. She has beautiful and good parents. Helen
Reese, how long do eagles live and how old are
Azalea’s parents???
Patti
The oldest known bald eagle in Virginia was 28 years old. We are not certain of the age of the NBG adults, but the female is at least 15 years old and the male at least 13 years old. This is based upon our knowledge of how long we have known about them nesting at NBG and the two years when they were on the opposite side of the Norfolk Airport.
wow, very interesting!! thanks reese, i had no idea that these eagles were elsewhere. this is all so cool!! i love it!
