Azalea has returned to Norfolk/Virginia Beach as of Feb 9. After roosting overnight Feb 8/9 in Pasquotank County, NC she took flight about 10:00am heading north back to Virginia and at 1:00pm was over Great Bridge in Chesapeake. From there she flew to Mason Creek in Norfolk between Wards Corner and Ocean View and along I-64. From there she flew to Algonquin on the Lafayette River where she spent the night. The morning of Feb 10 she flew back to Mason Creek about 10:00am where she spent a few hours on both sides of I-64. She left there about 1:00pm and flew to the Witchduck area and spent the night at Zamani Ct where she has spent several nights. This morning early – Feb 11 – Azalea flew across Little Neck and at 9:00am was on the Pinetree Branch of the Eastern Lynnhaven River (white data point)

Reese, what are those folks on Zamani Ct. doing to entice Azalea? So glad she is close to your neck of the woods again!
Nancy – Azalea probably flew right over my house this morning, and never let me know she was here!
I think she’s looking for you, Reese!
I agree with Sarah. Was Azalea one of the eaglets that had to spend a night with you? If so, she wants to find you again…if not, she wants to see what she missed! She is so close that you can hear her.
Response – NE spent the night. Azalea’s sibling.
