In May 2016 biologists with the Center for Conservation Biology fitted nestling bald eagles from nests in Norfolk and Virginia Beach, VA with cell phone technology transmitters and band them on their left legs with PURPLE bands. Eagle nest 1601 has been rebuilding since late Sept. Nest really has grown. They are working in the early hours between 7-10 am. Nice to see them both working at it.
