Grace has returned to Virginia as of Jan 11. Grace was last in Tyrrell County, NC (YELLOW arrow). She then flew across Albemarle Sound to Perquimans County, NC (PINK), on to Pasquotank County (GREEN), then crossed into Virginia and the Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge in Suffolk (BLUE) – http://www.fws.gov/refuge/great_dismal_swamp/. As of this satellite map Grace remains in the most northern section of the Great Dismal Swamp – WHITE arrow Jan 12 at 8:00pm.

Response – Hi Peggy – Looks like this long period of cloudy, rainy weather has caused the Camellia’s solar battery level to be too low to send a signal. Still have our fingers crossed that we get a few sunny days and the battery is recharged. Saw one small flock of 400 snow geese this week in Virginia Beach.
