These two photos of Grace were taken By Maurina Gonzales who is an avid eagle fan in Northern Virginia. Every since Grace flew to Northern Virginia and into Maryland, Maurina has been going from place to place trying to find and photograph Grace. Maurina took these photos at 1:37pm Nov 1 at the Charles County landfill in Maryland – BLUE marker on satellite map. Grace was apparently just leaving the landfill to fly a few miles south as shown by the ORANGE marker – Nov 1 2pm. As of this map Grace is a bit further south on a farm – WHITE arrow Nov 1 8pm. Congratulations Maurina!!!!

Way to go, MAG!!!! It is so great that you found her AND got photos!! It gives me goosebumps to see her exploring her new world.
Now, just how many landfills have you become intimate with since 2009??? 🙂
Congratulations Mag!! How exciting for you. I’m as happy as if I got to see her myself. 🙂
Maurina, I was so hoping you would find her!!! Way to go!!! You must have been so excited – and I am too!!!
Hey guys, -Thanks so! I was lucky she was/is an ‘easy’ 30 miles from me at this point, and decided to hang around for some time. That drainage south of landfill and Rt 488 is called Dakiah Swamp (according to marker on Rt 5), and I can’t find a spotting access; but I will go back to landfill surrounds and continue to check. Saturday (11/1) was a drizzly day with no sun til sunset. –Cary, this is only my 5th (I think?)! Thanks again Reese!
Great sighting, Maurina!
