Grace has left her birth state of Virginia and flown to the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center east of Laurel, Maryland. This map begins on Sept 21 at 5am when Grace was on the Potomac River in Westmoreland County (YELLOW arrow). On Sept 23 at 1pm she crossed the Potomac River into Maryland at Popes Creek (PINK). On Sept 26 at 6pm Grace was at Charles City, MD (GREEN), and in Prince George’s County at Noon on Sept 28 (BLUE) and at Shady Side on the Chesapeake Bay by 4pm (ORANGE). Grace arrived at the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center at Noon on Sept 30 (PURPLE). However, on Oct 1 she flew to the west end of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge (YELLOW) before returning to the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center where she is as of this map on Oct 3 at 9am (WHITE arrow).

Thanks Reese. As you mention, she was long gone from Charles County Landfill yesterday… But I saw a lot of vultures! Thanks for the update.
It sounds like Grace may be a roamer much like Azalea was in the way she travels about. I wonder if females are more apt to travel about than do males.
By the way, I fell in love with Grace for some reason especially since we don’t hear about Azalea any more.
