After spending several months in Tidewater (Va Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk) Camellia has stretch his wings and flown north into Surry County to the shores of the James River. He started out on Aug 22 like any other recent day at Lake Smith, then Holland Road area, to Brown Cove, to Windsor Lake, to Centerville and from there on the morning of Aug 24 he swung west then north over Isle of Wight County and on to the James River in Surry County. His data points are – YELLOW arrow Aug 21 at 6:00pm, PINK pointer Aug 22 at Noon, GREEN pointer Aug 23 at 1:00am, BLUE pointer Aug 23 at Noon, ORANGE pointer Aug 24 at 1:00am, PURPLE pointer Aug 24 at Noon, and as of this satellite map WHITE arrow Aug 25 at 5:00am.

Wonder what called to him from the river.
This is a surprise. I hope Cam returns. He’s been such a homebody. This morning I saw an osprey chase an eagle at Munden Point Park. The eagle landed in a pine tree and was joined by another eagle. Last Tuesday an eagle spent the day in a tree at my sister-in-law’s parents’ house on Knotts Island.
