KE seems to have found another temporary homeplace. Other than one flight southwest on June 21 to near Thornburg, VA, she has stayed in the area of the King George County landfill and the Birchwood Power Plant. She occasionally visits the Rappahannock River and ventures a short distance to the shoreline in Caroline County. Here are her data points since June 6 – YELLOW arrow June 6 at 2:00pm, ORANGE pointer June 13 at 3:00pm, GREEN pointer June 18 at 8:00am, BLUE pointer June 20 at 7:00am, PINK pointer June 21 at 1:00pm, YELLOW pointer June 21 at 5:00pm, PURPLE pointer June 26 at 7:00am, and as of this map KE was right back where she started this period – WHITE arrow June 27 at 1:00pm.

Wow, KE is really making herself at home here. Although 5 miles west of Sealston seems like the outskirts of Fredericksburg (tract homes and strip malls), this area and further east feels pastoral and is beautiful, with very little distance between the Rappahannock and Potomac rivers. I’ll try to find her on Friday, if the weather is decent — it’s my favorite area to search around (open, thanks to the farm fields).
That structure just south of her concentration area is the very tall tower of the Birchwood Power Facility and is seen from miles away.
Response – Maurina – If anyone can find KE it is you. Send me photos!! – Reese
