Mr. Lukei,
I really enjoy following the travel of Camellia and especially Azalea. Is there any indication how she discovered the Tidewater Station? Possibly following other eagles? Has Camellia also been to that site? Also, just a question about Dad Norfolk and his movements in the future. Is it possible that he could be identified in the future just based upon existing photographic records? Are there any other possible methods to follow his movements outside the Norfolk Botanical Gardens? Thanks again. Ron Wilson
Response – Ron – Camellia has not been to the Tidewater Research Station. We think Azalea probably saw other eagles soaring over TRS when she was at Alligator River NWR which is about 25 air miles away, but no way to know for certain. We have no way to track the NBG male. I suspect that he and female #3 will remain close to NBG. He has had 10 years to acclimate to that location.
