Well, when KE decided it was time to leave home she really left home!!! Yesterday, July 29, at 10:00am KE left her Saw Pen Point nest site (GREEN tree) in Virginia Beach about 10:00am, flew to the Eastern Branch of the Elizabeth River (PINK pointer July 29 at 11:00am), then turned north and flew across the Norfolk Naval Air Station, Hampton Roads harbor to Hampton, across the York River to Gloucester and at 4:00pm was at the mouth of the Piankatank River in Middlesex County on the Middle Peninsula – WHITE arrow. She was just west of Deltaville and may have still been flying. That is a distance of about 80 miles.

WOW!!!! It will be interesting to see if she returns. She was clamoring for food last week, and now look at her.
She needed extra food for a long trip.
Way to go KE !!!
Ok, KE, if you get up to Northern Neck head a bit west! I will try to find you!
Fly safe little one.
Another successful fledge! Hope she comes back so we can go scouting for her too!!!
It’s enough to make someone smile! Is there a link to learn more about KE? Thanks…
Response – CCB has not established a link for the public. I will be giving occasional updates on the travels of KE.
Wow! This little lady is really stretching her wings! KE, I’ll be with Magin. She’ll be the one with the big camera and I’ll be the one with the big fish! Reese, thank you for sharing. So many people love to follow the eagles’ travels.
KE is just across the river from my house if she is still on the Piankatank River…… Hope there is another update soon before she leaves the area. Would love to get a shot of her…. Hope she stays safe. I am looking… eyes to the skies!!!!
