What do you think is on her beak, next to the nare?
Response – Probably food, but I will look closer when she is in the nest and we can get a closeup look.
I’m still cheering for #3… I believe she is more stable than #4 – Especially, in temperament. Perhaps #3’s beak was injured in the fight with #4, which could also account for why we did not see her at all when #4 took hold of nest. Last week’s close-up’s of her and M at nest appeared to show healing scars on the left side of her face/beak.
