March 18, 2012Azalea spent most of the past three days close to the Atlantic Ocean. She began at Camp Pendleton State Military Base and Lake Christine (YELLOW arrow Mar 13 at 9:00am). She spent the day Mar 13 there but moved slightly north to the Croatan neighborhood for the night (PINK pointer Mar 14 at 6:00am). On the 14th she again stayed close to the shore line and spent the night on a wooded section of the Dam Neck Naval Base (GREEN pointer Mar 15 at 6:00am). On the 15th she wandered north to Linkhorn Bay and stayed the night on Taylor’s Point Rd in Alanton (PURPLE pointer Mar 16 at 6:00am). As of this map Azalea has flown south to the Lagomar/Atwoodtown neighborhoods off Sandbridge Rd and may have been in flight (WHITE arrow Mar 16 at 2:00pm).

It’s great to see she’s staying close to “home” also. Thanks very much for posting this information, Reese!
