After a one day journey to Corolla, NC, Camellia returned to Back Bay in Virginia Beach the afternoon of April 18. For the next 3 days he would hang around the end of Shipps Cabin Rd on Back Bay. This area is known as Hill Landing and is the location of Davis Boat House. Parts of the land and marsh are Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge. About 10:00am April 21 Camellia began flying south and crossed into Currituck County, NC just before noon. He kept going into Camden County and at 7:00pm – white data point – he was on the shores of the Pasquotank River at the end of Whitehall Rd. This is all new territory for Camellia.

“Spreading his wings!” He is becoming more adventurous. Wish he would come back to the Elizabeth River!
AZ must have told him about catfish in
North Carolina! It’s so much fun watching their journeys.
