Camellia left the Linlier neighborhood in Virginia Beach about 9:00am March 11 and flew west over I-264 back to the Eastern Branch of the Elizabeth River, then on to the Ingleside section on Broad Creek in Norfolk. Camellia spent the nights of Mar 12 and 13 in Ingleside and the day flying about the Ingleside, Ventosa and MacDonald Park sections of Norfolk and Virginia Beach. At midnight last night he was in MacDonald Park on Sparrow Rd. As of 8:00am March 14 – white data point – Camellia was at the end of Anna St in Tipperton which is on the southern edge of Norfolk Industrial Park.

I was on Myrtle Ave, near Indian River Rd. I saw three birds flying that looked like Juvies. They would have been flying over the Elizabeth River. Wonder if one could have been Camellia. So close…..
Where Camellia was around Sparrow Rd. is in the Tanglewood/Ashburn Pointe area of extreme NE Chesapeake. MacDonald Park is in VB.
Not very long ago, I saw an adult eagle on the shoreline by my house. I have been seeing young eagles, on a regular basis for a few years now.
Response – For 4 years there was a bald eagle nest in a yard on MacDonald Ct. Each year that pair had chicks, but they were taken by great horned owls or raccoons, so no eaglets fledged from that nest. I expect that pair has relocated in the same area, but the nest has not been located. Lynne, if you hear anything about a nest closeby, I would appreciate your letting me know about it. As for Camellia, he no doubt flew over the Tanglewood/Ashburn section of Chesapeake, but spent the night of Mar 14 at the intersection of Sparrow Rd and Pinewood CT in Va Beach.
